The New Stuff

Social Love

Love this and wish we knew who to credit for the
great photograph.

Have you shared every big step leading up to one of the biggest days of your life on social media?  Are you the type of person that can't go for more than an hour without adding a photo to your Instagram account?

It is okay to admit that it makes you a little uncomfortable to be without your phone on wedding day but we promise you that it is worth it.  There should come a point in the day where you unplug and just plug into your day.   Now if your friends and family are just like you, they will be sharing throughout the day into the evening and you might as well see ll the great photos.
Consider creating yourself a #hashtag for the day.  #missylovestom, #smithmiller2014 and try your best to make it simple and easy.  Before you print out the signs and share the news, make sure you check to see if anyone else is using the same hashtag.

Now how to share the #hashtag.  We are sure your friends ONLINE already know but is smart to share the news on the big day too.  One way to share that we love is using confetti. Yes, we said CONFETTI.  The Confetti Bar can create a custom mix of confetti with your own personal hashtag.

Or pick up a custom sign on Etsy or create your own!  There are plenty of chalkboard signs (which many of us love) or just use a  simple frame with the information on the bar or near the guest book.   There are countless ways to share your personal hashtag.

Now personally we feel that you should at least have an unplugged wedding ceremony and the reason is simple.  It is your big day, and you picked a wedding photography and cinematographer that met your needs.
Now let them do their job in peace.
Trust us, you don't want photos of your uncle trying to get the perfect shot of you on your wedding day because you already paid for someone to do that.
When it comes to the reception, that can be more of a different story.  So remind your friends and family, maybe in the wedding program that they need to be respectful of your photographer and cinematographer. We know you don't want to miss a thing on your big day and this way you could end up having the best of both worlds.
